Founder, KAE Cubs Pediatrics
Dr. Kevin Zhang is the founder of KAE Cubs Pediatrics, where his mission is to provide personalized, compassionate care that meets the unique needs of every child and family.
Born abroad and immigrating to the United States at the age of 9, Dr. Zhang grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. He completed his undergraduate studies at Auburn University, then returned to Birmingham to attend medical school at the University of Alabama. While there, he also earned a one-year MBA, combining his passion for medicine with a strong foundation in healthcare leadership and innovation.
Dr. Zhang went on to complete his pediatric residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he developed a comprehensive approach to child health and wellness. He initially began his career in a large hospital-employed practice but soon realized a desire to offer a more tailored and family-centered experience. This vision led to the founding of KAE Cubs Pediatrics—a place where care is not only high-quality, but also personal, flexible, and deeply community-rooted.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Zhang enjoys staying active at the gym, cheering on SEC football(Auburn Tigers) and the Dodgers, and is currently tackling the challenge of learning golf. Most importantly, he loves spending time with his wife Annie and their newborn son, Edwin, who continues to inspire his work every day.
